I am a simple girl rooted from a town in central New Jersey.  At 18 years old I moved to New York City to pursue my Bachelor's Degree in Advertising and Marketing Communications from the Fashion Institute of Technology and have been a NYC girl ever since. For as long as I can remember I have always been training myself physically, whether it was for soccer in elementary school or for cross-country running in high school.  Fitness has always played an important role in my life.

Now for a little insight into my personality.  I don't settle and I am very ambitious.  I have always thrived for perfection in all aspects of my life.  Unfortunately, this is not always a positive thing - especially when it comes to the ideas that the media feed us comparing 'skinny' to being 'beautiful.'

While modeling in 2011, I traded my regular 'healthy' lifestyle for an irregular and extreme lifestyle. Before I knew it a year had gone by and I was weighing in at 109 pounds at 5'9" with a BMI of 16. I was diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa and my life felt like it was spiraling. Not only was my health affected but my personal and professional lives were deeply affected, as well.

Fortunately, a light switch went off in my head one day and I was able to see my body and health for what it really was.  With no professional help I got my body and health under control.  In only two months I had already achieved a healthy BMI. With every pound I gained, I fell more in love with my body and felt excited to live the healthy life I knew I deserved.

Once healthy, my inner passion for health and wellness flourished. I attended PrecisionNutrition and received my AFAA certifications to build out my own fitness and wellness company.  I hope my journey thus far has inspired girls to also gain control of their health and to life the life we all deserve with balance and happiness.
